

From October 20 to 25, at the invitation of Freie Universität Berlin, AKAD University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and University of Chester and University of Derby in the UK, a four-member delegation led by Kong Guoqing, Secretary of the CPC Committee of AYNU, conducted visits to higher education institutions in Germany and the United Kingdom.
During their stay in Germany, the delegation, headed by Kong Guoqing, held discussions with Professor Frank Riedel, Director of the Ecosystem Dynamics Center at Freie Universität Berlin. The talks focused on jointly applying for an International Joint Laboratory in Henan Province and forming collaborative research teams. The delegation also conducted an on-site inspection of the university's teaching and research facilities. At AKAD University of Applied Sciences, both sides engaged in in-depth negotiations concerning faculty training, student exchanges, and scientific research collaboration.
In the United Kingdom, the delegation visited University of Chester and University of Derby. At University of Chester, they met with Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs, Head of the International Office, and Dean of Faculty of Education. The discussions centered on collaborative programs, research cooperation, and faculty and student exchanges, culminating in several consensus points and an agreement to sign a framework cooperation agreement. During their visit to University of Derby, the delegation held meetings with Head of International Affairs and Deans of the College of Arts, Humanities and Education, College of Health, Psychology and Social Care, College of Business, Law and Social Sciences, and College of Engineering and Technology. The meetings served to review the progress of existing cooperative projects between the two institutions and involved in-depth exchanges on further expanding collaboration in scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, and bachelor’s and master's "3+1" programs.
