

On April 17, a four-member delegation from Gyeongsang National University (GNU) in South Korea, led by Vice President Lee Byeong-hyeon, visited AYNU for academic exchange. Sun Jinwei, Vice President of AYNU, met with the delegation, accompanied by representatives from the Graduate School and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
During the meeting, Sun Jinwei extended a warm welcome to Lee Byeong-hyeon and his delegation, providing an overview of AYNU’s history, educational strengths, and international development initiatives. Lee Byeong-hyeon expressed gratitude for the hospitality and introduced GNU’s academic features and international programs. The two sides then engaged in in-depth discussions on details of student exchange programs, including major selection, credit recognition, and scholarship arrangements. Additionally, they reached preliminary agreements on joint graduate training, faculty exchanges, research collaboration, and cooperative education, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
Following the talks, the GNU delegation toured AYNU’s Chinese Character Culture Experience Center.
Notably, Gyeongsang National University is one of South Korea’s ten leading national universities. Established in 1910, it comprises five campuses, 17 colleges, 11 graduate schools, and 109 undergraduate and graduate programs, with a student population exceeding 27,000.
