Recently, at the invitation of Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korrea, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of AYNU organized a one-week exchange program visit for nine outstanding undergraduates from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Prof. Dae Joon Kang, dean of the Graduate School and doctoral supervisor of SKKU, warmly received the delegation and introduced in detail the history of SKKU and its achievements in education, teaching, scientific research, and transformation of achievements. During the visit, the delegation members held talks and exchanges with the alumni of AYNU studying in SKKU, participated in a number of course seminars, and went into the laboratories and the Nanotechnology Research Center to observe the teaching facilities and experimental equipment and experience the atmosphere of scientific research and learning. In addition, the delegation visited the National Museum of Korea, Seoul Museum of History and other cultural landmarks to get a close-up understanding of the history and culture of South Korea.

SKKU, ranked 123 by QS World Ranking 2025, has 17 colleges and 125 undergraduate and graduate programs. Prof. Dae Joon Kang has maintained a long-term cooperative relationship with School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of AYNU in scientific research, laboratory construction, and joint cultivation of postgraduates, etc. This activity opened a new chapter of inter-university exchanges between the two universities and will lay an important foundation for the development of Chinese-foreign cooperative education at the master's level between the two universities.
