On December 31, Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, President of Nation-Building Institute, Thailand, Pattama Peaksitong, President of Wappibun Sahatan School, Thailand, and Sumit Fan, President of Thai-China Research Institute, visited AYNU. Du Jimin, Vice President of AYNU, had a discussion with Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak and his delegation in the conference room of Wenbo Building. Li Weidong, Chairman of Anyang City Overseas Chinese Federation, participated in the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Chengwei, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of AYNU.
At the meeting, Du Jimin briefly introduced the basic situation of AYNU from the aspects of long history, distinctive characteristics, and emphasis on opening up, and Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak introduced the basic situation of Nation-Building Institute, Thailand and the purpose of his visit. Subsequently, the two sides carried out exchanges and negotiations on scientific research cooperation, teacher visits, and joint international conferences. The two sides said that the discussion and exchange will help enhance mutual understanding between the two sides, lay a solid foundation for further cooperation, and jointly make positive contributions to the development of China-Thailand education. After the discussion, Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak and his delegation visited the Key Laboratory of Oracle Information Processing, Ministry of Education of China, which is located in AYNU.
Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, President of Nation-Building Institute, Thailand, has a PhD in Economics from Monash University in Australia, and a PhD and post-doctor in management from Oxford University in the UK. He has published more than 500 academic papers and academic achievements in international conferences. He has served as Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Vice chairman of the Democratic Party, Member of Parliament, adviser to the President of Parliament and so on.
